An AI system can score highly without doing what we intended, or complete a task while causing problems along the way. Read about what AI safety research can teach us about defining success, recognizing unintended consequences, and deciding what evidence should earn our trust.

Designers and product leaders are building context systems that make product thinking clear for teams and AI. Explore real examples and five practical tips for organizing product knowledge, design guidance, working conventions, and reusable processes.

AI can generate polished interfaces in seconds, making visual production easier than ever. A designer’s true value now lies upstream: aligning teams, defining systems, documenting decisions, and transforming complex product thinking into clear, actionable language.

Figma Config 2026 revealed how AI is transforming design, accelerating execution, but elevating the value of human judgment, endurance, and vision. As machines get faster, designers must focus on ethics, real-world impact, and what only people can imagine and build.

AI’s rapid rise is creating a divide between fluent and unfamiliar team members, especially in design. This post explores how gaps in AI skills can fracture teams, the hidden human costs, and practical ways to bridge the divide for a more connected, future-ready workplace.

In a world where AI and constant change can feel overwhelming, staying relevant means seeking out work that energizes you, leaning into uncertainty, and looking for ways to keep growing, no matter where the field is headed. Here’s how designers can thrive amid rapid transformation.

When products, features, and even business models can be copied in hours, the real advantage is learning faster and delivering what your audience actually needs. Tight feedback loops help teams listen, ship, and adapt in real time, turning user insight into a winning strategy.

As the systems behind products begin generating UI on demand, shaped by intent and context, the role of design changes. This article explores durable and temporary UI and how designers can shape trustworthy systems that communicate clearly at any given moment.

The most valuable skill for designers today isn’t mastering new tools, it’s knowing how to spot opportunities and decide what’s worth building. This article explores why judgment and idea generation now set great designers apart.

Figma’s 2025 AI report shows how AI is reshaping design work, raising expectations, and making design skills more valuable. From prototyping to agentic AI, it’s clear that designers who experiment now will shape the future.

AI-assisted coding moves at lightning speed, but good design still takes time. Here’s how teams can adapt their processes so design and engineering stay in sync without sacrificing quality or burning out.
